Quran Studies for kids

Ages 7-12 & 13-15

This one-hour class is designed to help children learn how to read the Holy Quran with proper pronunciation (Tajweed). The students will be divided into two different classes:

(1) Qaida – The first class is for beginners to learn how to read the Arabic language. They will begin by learning the Arabic alphabet with correct pronunciation. They will then learn how to connect letters to form words.

(2) Nazira – The second class is for those students who already know how to read the Holy Quran but want to improve pronunciation and fluency in their recitation.

Islamic studies for kids

Ages 7-12 & 13-15

The comprehensive class includes the Quran class and comprises five core subjects: (1) Fiqh, (2) Ahadith, (3) Tarikh (Islamic history), (4) Aqaid (Islamic creed and belief), and (5) Akhlaq wal Adab (Islamic morals and etiquette).

Fiqh – Designed to teach children basic Islamic laws according to the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH). They will learn the basic Islamic rulings regarding cleanliness, purification, and salah.

Ahadith – Children will memorize basic Ahadith (sayings of the Prophet [PBUH]) and duas and will be encouraged to implement them in their daily lives.

Tarikh (Islamic history) – Children will become familiar with the prophets and the Sirah (biography) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Aqaid (Islamic creed and belief) – A branch of Islamic studies describing the beliefs of Islam. The aim is to teach children the basic articles of faith they will hold with conviction, such as the Oneness of Allah and the final prophethood of the Prophet (PBUH).

Adab wal Akhlaq (Islamic morals and etiquette) – Teaches children Islamic manners and morals according to the Quran and Sunnah.

Quran Memorization

ages 7 and up

This program focuses exclusively on the intensive memorization of the Quran. The goal of this program is for students to complete a thorough memorization of the Quran, with correct pronunciation.

After School quran Memorization

Ages 7 and up

This program focuses exclusively on the memorization and revision (daur) of the Quran with correct pronunciation. It is ideal for students who:

Are interested in the intensive Quran Memorization program but would like to start slowly, or get a 'jump start' before making a bigger commitment, or
Would like to memorize a few juz or large surahs only, or
Have already memorized the Quran but need a structured program to revise and retain what they have already memorized.

Adult classes

Ages 16 and up

Adult classes consist of Tafsir, Fiqh, and Sirah. It will be held on weekends for ages 16 and up. Additional subjects may be added based on the needs of the community.
