Shaykh Zaid bin Haroon was born and raised in the city of New Orleans. He began his journey in his quest for knowledge in the year 2000. He completed his memorization of the Holy Quran at the tender age of 14 from Madrassah Al-Hameed under Maulana Rafiqul Islam An-Nadawi. He then traveled to Houston, Texas, to spend a year in the service of Mufti Akbarullah Saleem An-Nadawi for Tarbiya and Quranic revision.

After graduating from high school in 2006, he traveled to New York to study at Darul Uloom New York where he benefited immensely from great personalities, including Moulana Suhail, Moulana Mikaeel, Moulana Yameen, and Hazrat Ji Moulana Ajaz sahib.

During his stay at Darul Uloom, Allah (SWT) tested Shaykh Zaid with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, for which he had to undergo four years of chemotherapy treatment in New Orleans. After completing his medical treatment and through the fadhl of Allah (SWT), Shaykh Zaid continued his studies with the same passion as he had before. He traveled to Chicago, Illinois, and was fortunate enough to receive training under the tutelage of Mufti Minhajudden Ahmed and Mufti Ehzaz Ejmeri.

In 2012, he joined the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE) and completed a vigorous six-year course, attaining ijaza in various Islamic sciences, including the six authentic books of hadith (sahih sitta).

At IIE, he had the opportunity to learn under great scholars, such as Maulana Ubaidullah Saleem, Maulana Suleyman Saleem, Dr. Mufti Yasser Nadeem Wajidi, and Hazrat Maulana Abdullah Saleem.

During his studies, he was a part-time instructor at the Institute of Islamic Education and Darululoomonline.org.

Between 2017 and 2018, Shaykh Zaid continued his studies to specialize in the field of ifta (mufti course) under Mufti Abrar Mirza and Mufti Yasser Nadeem. He is currently training under Mufti Abrar Mirza and hopes to attain the pleasure of Allah (SWT) through his services to the Deen.

Mawlana Adeeb Yousuf, son of Munibuddin Yousuf (also known as Mujahid in the community), was an outstanding student during his secular studies. He was accepted into Xavier University with a full scholarship and was on his way to medical school to become a doctor. Mawlana Adeeb always had a great passion for the Deen. This passion led him to make a life-changing decision when his path turned from becoming a doctor to becoming a scholar of Deen. May Allah (SWT) accept Mawlana Adeeb’s sacrifices and continue to bless him and increase him in knowledge.

In 2012, Mawlana Adeeb joined the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE) where he studied various Islamic sciences, including Arabic grammar and morphology, Fiqh, Usul al-fiqh, Hadith, Usul al-hadith, Quran, Tafsir, Ulumul Quran, Aqeedah, and more. He completed his course in 2018 and received Ijaza from his teacher to teach and pass on this sacred knowledge inherited from the Prophets. Throughout his studies at IIE, Mawlana Adeeb gained the respect of his teachers, peers, and the younger students at the Institute. He was loved by students and faculty alike.

What makes Mawlana Adeeb stand out is his exposure to both the secular and Islamic world. He is able to effectively communicate with and relate to children growing up in America. His unique qualities make him a great teacher, mentor, and role model for the next generation. Mawlana Adeeb strives to provide high-quality education in a fun and friendly manner while focusing on spiritual growth at the same time.
